Updated Mask Policy

March 1, 2022

Following the CDC’s recent easing of masking requirements, effective immediately, GoodwillNMI recommends, but does not require, that masks be worn in the workplace. Note: the updated policy will not immediately affect mask requirements at the Goodwill Inn.

As we make this change, the following points should help provide clarity:

  • Our signage will recommend that individuals wear masks, regardless of vaccination status.

  • Masks remain a requirement for all individuals working at the Goodwill Inn.

  • Employees with COVID symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should continue to do what they have done in the past:

    • Do not enter the workplace

    • Notify your Manager

    • Contact Sharron Zimmerman in HR

  • We should all continue to take precautions when we are sick (COVID or otherwise) and not come to work when we are not feeling well.

  • Continue to practice healthy habits such as covering coughs and sneezes and frequent handwashing, to help prevent the spread of germs and viruses.

  • Masks will continue to be available for all employees, customers, and clients who choose to wear them.

  • Everyone’s personal choice to wear a mask, or not to wear a mask, needs to be respected. We need to treat each other with grace and dignity. If you are made to feel uncomfortable about your masking choice, please contact your supervisor or Human Resources.

  • Continue to keep a safe physical distance from others and respect others’ personal space.

  • Completion of the daily COVID screening form is no longer required.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this complex social health issue together.
