Empty Bowls 2017

2017 Empty Bowls Information Coming Soon!

Sunday, November 5th marks this year’s Empty Bowls™ event at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City, Michigan. Empty Bowls™ is an international grassroots effort to help end hunger. Area artists, educators and community members create handcrafted bowls – symbolizing the many hungry people around the world whose bowls are empty. At the event, guests are served a meal of soup and bread and receive one of these handcrafted bowls to take home.

The event will also feature a silent auction, including donations from local businesses and artists! Silent auction and ticket sales proceeds will support the GOOD work of Food Rescue.

Put GOOD Food to GOOD Use.

Help Food Rescue Fight Hunger!

Food Rescue’s mission is to collect soon-to-expire fresh food and redistribute it, same-day, and free-of-charge, to our neighbors in need. Food is collected from many sources including grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries and farmers’ markets and delivered to area food pantries, shelters and community meal programs.
