12/9/13 — Share the Spirit of the Holidays
You can help share the spirit of the holidays with our less fortunate neighbors by donating a gift from the Goodwill Community Holiday Needs program wish list or by making a financial donation. Click here to download a wish list or click here to make a secure online donation.
Last year the program provided 1,267 children and individuals with gifts, toys, and basic essentials. Many of the people served by the Holiday Needs program struggle to provide a meal for their family, worry about keeping a roof over their head and many may have no bed at all.
Families participating in the program are able to “shop” for both gift items and necessities in a temporary store that is stocked with merchandise that has been purchased or donated specifically for this program. Volunteers help guide them through the process, allowing them to select appropriate gifts for their children – with dignity – in a caring and respectful setting.
We are pleased to partner with Toys for Tots, and the Department of Human Services to ensure that no child, or homeless individual is left out of the wonders of the holidays because they are poor, homeless or otherwise in need.
We invite you to join the effort by making a financial gift to the program or donating items from the Holiday Needs Wish List.
Thank you for sharing the joy of the season with your neighbors who are facing less fortunate circumstances this holiday season.
