Goodwill is committed to expanding and enhancing our programs and services to reach additional northern Michigan communities. The Workers on Wheels program has assisted hundreds of local families with vehicles since 1999. Donated cars are inspected, repaired, and awarded to a family in need. We keep it local! All vehicles are awarded in the same area from which they were donated.
To expand our mission services, Goodwill Northern Michigan has purchased three vehicles to donate back to three families in need and we need your help! Goodwill is coordinating this special vehicle giveaway throughout the summer to deserving families living in our 19 county service area. We know there are a lot of individuals and families in need of transportation assistance, so we are calling on our communities to help us identify a family in their own backyard!

ABOUT WORKERS ON WHEELS (WOW)
Workers on Wheels is a program of Goodwill Northern Michigan that seeks to increase
the independence and mobility of hard-working, low-income families. We do this by pairing a family in need with a donated vehicle at little or no cost to the family.
Goodwill’s car donation program provides safe, reliable transportation for low-income, working families in Northern Michigan. A vehicle can increase the independence and mobility of hard-working families, allowing greater opportunity for job advancement, extra-curricular activities for kids, and empowerment for a family to reach new levels of success. Building on the generosity of vehicle donors, we match GOOD vehicles with qualified families to promote employment and independence.
