Goodwill Food Service programs work to feed independence in Northern Michigan. Our food programs prepare over 150,000 meals annually for Meals on Wheels and Goodwill Inn guest meals.
Meals on Wheels
Goodwill’s commercial kitchen, in partnership with Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency, provides nutritional meals for area seniors in the Meals on Wheels program.
Meals on Wheels serves home-bound seniors with several meal options. A hot meal, a snack and a light lunch delivered by a friendly volunteer each weekday warm the spirit of qualifying seniors. Frozen meals may be provided for weekends and in some cases also available to spouses.
Goodwill Inn Homeless Emergency Meal Program
The Goodwill Inn recognizes nutrition as a critical need to maintain a healthy life. The Inn provides three meals daily in a congregate setting to our homeless guests. Annually over 50,000 meals are served.
Food Service Training Program
Our training program delivers skills and certifications that will allow our community’s disabled and disadvantaged to access developing job opportunities in food services. Contact our GOOD jobs training team by phone 231.995.7725 or Email: Workforce Development
