Dan Buron brings over 20 years of executive social enterprise leadership to his role as Goodwill Northern Michigan's Executive Director. Dan is focused on building innovative community partnerships to meet the complex community challenges of increasing housing and food security for everyone in Northern Michigan.
He chairs the Grand Traverse Community Collaborative, and serves on the Traverse Connect Board of Directors and the Northern Michigan Community Health Innovation Region (CHIR) Steering Committee. He also serves on the Goodwill Industries International Council of Executives and Board.
Dan and his family moved to Traverse City in 2016. In 2019, Dan completed the Ironman 70.3 Traverse City Triathlon, raising money for Food Rescue as part of the Charity Challenge. His Goodwill career was inspired by his sister, Special Olympics Athlete Karen Buron.
