8/21/13 — Detour “Homeless of the Brave” song helps change veterans lives

Detour Bluegrass Band uses their talents to change veterans lives. Michigan based Detour donates proceeds from the sale of its song “Homeless of the Brave” to Goodwill’s Patriot Place Homeless Veterans Transitional Housing Community.

Jeff Rose, who wrote “Homeless of the Brave”, stopped by to present another $1000 donation to Patriot Place. The donation was made possible from downloads (Downloads of the song may be purchased through iTunes, Amazon and other online retail outlets) of this amazing song.

“Homeless of the Brave” Chorus
It’s time we stand up and say,
there’ll be hell to pay, if another soldier dies upon these streets,
In the richest land on earth, please tell me what it’s worth,
if we let them go down in defeat, oh there has to be a way that we can save,
those living in the land of the free and the homeless of “The Brave.”
